Week 1: Metalsmithing Basics

Week 2: Ring with Stone Setting
This session focuses on designing and fabricating a custom ring from start to finish. Students will measure, form, and solder a ring band, then add texture, stamping, or a small stone setting. By the end of class, each student will complete a polished, wearable ring.
Week 3: Pendant with Stone Setting
Students will create a personalized pendant while building precision in sawing, stamping, soldering, and bezel setting. This workshop emphasizes clean fabrication and thoughtful design, resulting in a unique, handcrafted pendant.

This week introduces cuff forming, metal stamping, and basic stone setting techniques. Students will design, shape, and finish a custom cuff featuring their own stamped details and a hand-set stone.
Week 5: Earrings with Stone Setting
Students will create a pair of earrings—studs, dangles, or hoops—using skills such as sawing, soldering, texturing, and stone setting or embellishment. The focus is on balance, proportion, and crafting a cohesive pair from raw materials.
Week 6: Open Studio – Student Choice
The final week offers guided open studio time for finishing projects or beginning a new piece of your choice. Students can refine techniques, ask questions, and receive individualized support as they apply everything learned throughout the course.
