Cuttlefish Casting Class - $225 4 hr
(All Material and casting equipment are included in price of class. Students are required to bring a M95 Mask.)
Cuttlefish casting is a technique primarily use in the Mediterranean but can be found all over Europe. Because Cuttlebone is able to withstand high temperatures and is easily carved, it serves as mold-making material for small metal castings for the creation of jewelry and small sculptural objects. Student will go through the complete process of creating their own Bronze casting. Learn all about the safety and proper technique of this lost art form.
Student will receive 28 grams of bronze to complete there cast with. This will allow you to make two small or one large casting. More bronze or Sliver can be purchased separately if students so desire.
Students are required to bring their own M95 mask to prevent them from breathing in the Bone Dust.
