Meet Your Instructors

Lauren Brenner is a local artist who has been creating since 2011. After taking Metalsmithing and Advanced Metalsmithing courses at the local Community College Lauren fell in love immediately. She loves the design aspect of creating pieces. Using all the fun tools especially creating hot connections with the torch. Seeing her designs come to fruition is so rewarding. She would like you to know…

“Once you learn the basics, there are countless ways to go about achieving a design. There are so many levels of decoration and specialties one can focus on. I’m excited to teach and hopefully ignite a passion for future metal smiths alike.”

Stacey is a self-taught Metalsmith based out of Portland. She designs, fabricates, and casts her own jewelry. Using a range of materials, tools, techniques, and experimental processes. Stacey creates everyday essentials and one-of-a-kind treasures by hand. Her unique and well-built pieces are made in SE Portland at her private studio. She works with gold, sliver, bronze, stones, and gems. Stacey looks forward to sharing these skills with you. Stacey says…

“You too can bring metal to life by learning the proper techniques to manipulate metal with intention, passion, and attention to detail.”
